We call this activity playing detective.
We practice finding common ground with people who are different from us. We emphasize eye contact and strong communication throughout the exercise.
One thing we hear all the time in this era of technology is kids losing their ability to socialize.
Social skills are just that, a SKILL, and any skill can be improved with practice and guidance.
Learning to communicate with people from different walks of life and find common ground is something our kids will use as they go through school, work and social settings. Building these skills early creates a foundation of success later on.
