Last night’s race did NOT go like we wanted it to😅
We knew the track was going to be on the slicker side so changed a couple of things to try out in the heat to hopefully help out with that. It ended up doing the exact opposite actually and Chase did not like how it felt at all. Disappointed in performance and results for the heat
Switched things back and made a few other minor adjustments for b-main which helped a lot, but still not quite right. Chase tried feeling out different spots of the track to see if he could get it to do a little more but unfortunately not this time around
We got some work to do and Chase needs some more track time but it was a fun and beautiful night, with packed stands for fan appreciation and a great firework show to celebrate America’s birthday! 🇺🇸

‼️We’ve heard some talking through the grapevine that Chase somehow “thinks he owns the track” when he races or “knows everything” or “is egotistical” or whatever it is they have said. Let’s take a minute to address that:
This was his 3rd race ever at Fergus. He has either chose to start at the back every heat/feature so he didn’t cause a wreck or get in a wreck knowing he wouldn’t get in the throttle like experienced drivers. He’s been wrecked, has spun out, or just didn’t finish in those 3 races. His best feature finish was 15th place once and that was his first race at the beginning of the season. We absolutely love this track and have no ill feelings towards any other racer including the ones he’s been tangled up with. We don’t know a lot, hardly anything actually, and we’re still learning so much.
Luckily we have already met so many great people through this sport and circuit, it’s truly been amazing. We give all our glory to God for allowing us to race, and keeping us safe along the way. We continue to thank our family, friends, fans because they are the ones that make it possible and never stop supporting us even when we seem to be sucking more than not😅
We post on here to stay transparent about our journey, experiences, behind the scenes, what racing all entails, to be informative and bring attention to the sport- dirt track and enduro, our up and downs- that it’s not always sunshine and rainbows, the family, etc.
Chase works his absolute tail off 24/7 juggling his blue collar job, mechanic duties of farm equipment/vehicles/multiple race cars, and with his family’s farm of crops and cattle. Not to mention willing to drop everything he’s doing to help out anyone who called and needed help
There are a few sponsor stickers on the car, and we are so grateful for them. But they cover maybe 5-10% of our racing expenses on a good year. The remaining funds come out of pocket and we have had to miss races before because the repairs cost more than what we could afford at the time
Racing Fergus was just a dream of a little kid sitting in the stands watching, who loved the Disney movie Cars, and anything that went fast. Now being a car racing on that same track, knowing there’s other kids in the stands watching, doesn’t seem real. We don’t race expecting to ever be in victory lane, get a trophy, or to make money. We do it for the dream we had and are chasing, and the kids we once were
So if you think Chase “owns the track” when he races, as he’s coming in last place or you think he’s “egotistical”- that’s okay. Sounds like a YOU problem and he’s the most humble hard working 23 year old man you’d ever meet and anyone who’s ever met him could tell you that. So maybe keep his name out of your mouth‼️
