Imagine getting your ass beat at 7 am for calling a man’s dog ugly. It’s my first morning waking up in San Francisco and I am out the door going for an early morning walk with my dog. It’s still kinda dark out. I come across a few homeless sleeping on the sidewalks and in doorways to various businesses and after walking around the Union Square area for about 45 minutes, I decide to go by Walgreens to buy some film for my camera. As I am waiting to cross the street I see an employee unlock the metal cage encasing the front door. It looks like I am going to be their first customer. As I cross the street I take note of a cop car parked out front , but no cops in sight and a guy leaning against the wall talking on his phone loudly. Just visualize a Puerto Rican New Yorker type of hoodlum. As I get closer to the front door I hear the guy on the phone say out loud, “Damn that’s an ugly-ass dog.” What did this p**o just say? I couldn’t believe what I was hearing. I’ve never heard anyone say that about my dog. I look at him right in the eye as I approach the door and I couldn’t help it, I had to say something back to this as***le. He’s about 6 feet away to my right side as I approach the door and I look right at him and say, “You ugly too.” I am no Connor Mcgregor at talking smack, but you better believe I offended his dumb-ass.
