She said her trainer sucked. 😂😅😅

At least… that’s what she thought at first.

Why?

Because I wasn’t always giving her the workouts she wanted.

I was giving her the workouts she NEEDED.

I made her slow down✅
Focus on form.✅
Take proper rest between sets.✅
Stop chasing high heart rate, sweat, and soreness✅
And stay consistent with the basics✅

At first, it didn’t always feel exciting.

Then her strength 💪 started going up.
Her clothes started fitting differently.
Her confidence 🚀

A smart trainer isn’t the person who kills you every workout.

It’s the trainer who has a plan, keeps you consistent, and helps you make progress without burning you out.

Trust the process. 🤝

I’ll her name private but this is her story....

She sat in her car outside of Maxout for almost 10 minutes.

She had a long day. She was tired. She didn’t sleep great the night before. Work was stressful, dinner still needed to be figured out, and honestly, the last thing she wanted to do was exercise.

She thought about going home.

Then she told herself, “I don’t have to have a great workout today. I just have to walk through the door.”

So she did.

Her workout wasn’t amazing.

She used lighter weights than usual. She took longer breaks. She didn’t feel very strong. She even had to modify a couple exercises.

But when she finished, something changed.

She felt proud.

Not because she burned a certain number of calories.

Not because she had the best workout of her life.

She was proud because she kept a promise to herself.

That’s what fitness really looks like sometimes.

It’s not always motivation.

It’s not always excitement.

Some days, progress looks like lifting heavier.

Other days, progress looks like simply showing up when you didn’t feel like it.

And those days matter more than you think.

You don’t need to be perfect this week.

You don’t need to crush every workout.

You don’t need to feel motivated every day.

Just keep showing up.

One workout at a time.

One walk at a time.

One better meal at a time.

One good decision at a time.

Those small decisions may not feel powerful in the moment, but repeated long enough, they can completely change your life.

So if you’re tired, frustrated, busy, or feeling like you’re not making progress, remember this:

You don’t have to win the entire week today.

Just win the next decision.

Keep going.

Workout is not fun for 99% of people. I want you guys to know that it’s completely okay not to enjoy every workout or every part of training.

The truth is, most of us aren’t going to feel excited about working out all the time. If we only exercised on the days we enjoyed it or felt motivated, it would be really easy to stop when those feelings aren’t there. Sometimes it’s a lot like brushing our teeth, we may not enjoy doing it, but we do it because we know it’s good for us and it helps us in the long run.

That’s how I look at training too. The workouts we do here at Maxout aren’t just about what happens inside the gym. They’re meant to help you feel stronger, move better, have more energy, protect your body, and make everyday life outside the gym easier.

Your weight can temporarily increase 2–5 lbs around your menstrual cycle — and that doesn’t mean you gained body fat.

Hormonal changes can cause:

• Water retention
• Bloating
• Digestion changes
• Changes in hunger and sodium/carbohydrate intake

This is why you shouldn’t judge your progress from one weigh-in.

Look at your weekly average and long-term trend instead.

Stay consistent. Keep training. Keep eating well. Let your body do what it naturally does.

At MaxOut Personal Training, we help you understand your body, build strength, and create habits that last.

Why do so many women struggle to reach their fitness goals?

It’s usually not because they aren’t capable. It’s because they rely on motivation, expect quick results, and believe they must be perfect.

Motivation comes and goes, but strong habits keep you moving. Real progress takes time, and one imperfect workout, meal, or day will never erase the work you’ve already done.

You don’t need to be perfect—you just need to keep showing up.

Build better habits. Be patient with yourself. Stay consistent. That’s how lasting results are created. 💪
