Bill Kennedy loves drum fishing. Starting with his first big drum, caught when he was eight years old, Bill has spent decades on the planks and surf line targeting these hard-fighting fish.

We caught up with Bill to congratulate him on his 1000th bull red he caught last fall and to learn a bit more about drum fishing over the years and what keeps him coming back.

We recently spooled up a pair of Fathom Electrics (30 and 50 sizes) for a customer looking to capitalize on the deep-drop bite.

Fathom Electrics are great options for deep dropping, kite fishing, and teaser reels. Their motor and battery compartments are sealed with Penn’s IPX6 technology.

We've been taking advantage of fishing in our backyard after work lately. Flounder fishing in the inlet has been steady, with lots of shorts in the mix; gotta pick through to get the keepers. And it's always worth poking out of the inlet to look for drum schools.
