Pilates is an excellent form of exercise! BUT, what if there was a class that went beyond gentle toning exercises and dealt specifically with the nervous system?

What if you could come to a class that helped you tone your muscles, learn how to breathe deeply, and calm your brain at the same time?

What if you came in with the cares of the world on your shoulders and left feeling light and refreshed in mind, body, and spirit?

You can be a part of this and more at our Candlelight Workouts. With either classical music or worship songs playing quietly in the background, you will be able to exercise by candlelight through gentle movement and deep breathing.

We understand that having a Pre-Ballet class at 2:15 makes things difficult for school pickups so we've decided to add another Pre-Ballet class at 4:30-5:15 on Fridays. The changes will show up on the website very soon! For now, if you have any questions, please let us know.

Do you value strong classical foundations matched with long-term dancer development in a faith-based environment? We are looking for a passionate ballet teacher to teach our littlest ballerinas for the upcoming season!

We're looking for someone who:
- Has a strong foundation in classical ballet technique and ballet pedagogy (focused on Cecchetti and/or Royal Ballet) as well as basic tap training.
- Is familiar with basic injury aware training/functional biomechanics or is willing to incorporate its principles into training using our dance school’s curriculum.
- Is able to teach with clarity, encouragement, and consistency and can demonstrate strong classroom management with age-appropriate, progressive instruction.
- Values student safety through proper alignment, injury prevention, musicality, artistry, flexibility, and strength.
- Can align with our desire to build a Christ-like studio with a heart for ministry.
- Is dependable, punctual, professional, and communicates well with students, parents, and staff.
- Has previous teaching experience (at least 2 years preferred).

Position Details:
- Pre-Ballet (ages 3-4) Fridays | 2:15 PM – 3:00 PM
- Intro to Ballet & Tap (ages 5-6) Fridays | 3:30 PM – 4:30 PM
- Hourly rate is negotiable based on experience and qualifications. We generally start at $15/hour.
- Must be available for our annual recital, rehearsal, and occasional staff meetings.
- Must be committed to upholding the values and standards of La Belle Vie Dance School.

La Belle Vie Dance School is a Christian dance school that prides itself on providing a safe, encouraging, welcoming, faith-based environment for our students and their families. We are a classical ballet-centered studio committed to technical excellence, injury risk reduction, and development of the student as a whole (mind, body, and spirit). Our programs emphasize proper foundations, long-term dancer health, and positive mentorship.

Application Process:
To ensure we are finding the best fit for our dancers, applicants are asked to submit up to 3 videos of themselves teaching a ballet class to the desired age group above. They will also be required to schedule a quick interview with the studio owner, Amanda Howard. We would like to see your teaching style, classroom management, ability to provide corrections, and how you connect with your students.

La Belle Vie students ages 12+ are invited to audition for solo roles. All enrolled students ages 5+ will perform.

We're all working towards the goal of building friendships, mentorships, and a desire to uplift the Lord through action, word, and most of all, dance.

Our faculty are here for more than simply teaching your children how to dance. Though they are knowledgeable, intentional, and encourage their students to pursue their best, our teachers are also mentors and role models of Christ-like behavior. The impact teachers make on the lives of their students is huge, and is something we hope will be a positive, lasting memory of faith and dance.
