On the Windsor golf course, a panorama of native trees borders gentle, rolling fairways that are completely unobstructed by houses. With no tee times and a dog-friendly policy, Windsor’s Robert Trent Jone’s Jr. links-style course offers the ultimate golfing experience.

Congratulations to Scott Merrill and the team at Merrill, Pastor & Michael on the publication of the first collection of the firm’s work, covering almost 40 years with over 60 projects, and more than twelve hundred drawings and photographs.
Published by ORO Editions, the 400-page book includes written contributions by Andrés Duany, Founding Partner of DPZ CoDesign, and the late Léon Krier and Vincent Scully. Merrill wrote three essays and the descriptions and goals of each project.
Merrill has been closely associated with the development of Windsor, Florida since its earliest stages. He has played a central role in shaping the architectural character of the community, with responsibility for the design of the Village Centre and its public buildings, the Windsor Park Residences, and numerous private homes. He also served as the architect of record for the Town Hall designed by Léon Krier.
Merrill continues to contribute to Windsor’s ongoing evolution, including the design of the community’s new Fitness & Wellness Centre located in the North Village, Windsor’s final development phase. His work reflects a sustained engagement with traditional architecture and urbanism, with an emphasis on proportion, material, and the relationship between buildings and public space.
Scott Merrill received a BA from the University of Virginia and a Master of Architecture from Yale University. The firm’s work received the Arthur Ross Award from the Institute of Classical Architecture in New York in 2004. Scott Merrill received the Seaside Prize in 2012 and the Richard H. Driehaus Prize in 2016.
