Current 8-Week Training Cycle | May 25 to July 13
Welcome to Terminus, live now at Tectonic.
📅Two months of sharpening three disciplines:
(1) Olympic lifting precision
(2) Advanced gymnastics strength
(3) Powerful conditioning capacity built on structured rowing and mixed modal intervals
🥇 Olympic lifting precision. Three days a week, with heavy emphasis on clean technique, consistency, barbell efficiency, front squat strength, pulling strength, and jerk progressions. Test days: Sn**ch and Clean/Jerk EMOM precision at 80%, Front Squat 1RM, Hang Clean + Strict Press 1RM.
🤸 Gymnastics strength & skill. Two strict upper-body days plus dedicated skill work on handstand push-ups, bar muscle-ups, ring muscle-ups, chest-to-bar, toes-to-bar, and handstand walking. Working toward your first rep or refining under fatigue, there's a progression for every level.
🚣 Conditioning. Repeatable high-output power intervals, aerobic rowing development, gymnastics cycling under fatigue, mixed aerobic power intervals, and competition-style throwdowns. Benchmarks: 500m Row for time and 30-minute Max Distance Row.
🧠Weekly rhythm: 3 Olympic lifting days, 2 strict gymnastics strength days, 5 conditioning or interval sessions, mobility and recovery built in, plus optional extra credit for skill work and endurance.
This cycle is about doing the work others avoid.
Show up consistently. Train with intent. Attack your weaknesses.
Let's get it!

20+ years of martial arts, a black belt in Shaolin Kempo and purple belt in BJJ, Coach Brian has trained, taught, and competed across multiple fighting disciplines.
But Coach Brian wanted to give his Tectonic community a useful (practical) set of skills, stripped of the ranking systems, formalities, and competitiveness of many martial arts studios that are focused on winning fights.
So he developed Practical Self-Defense, Sundays, 11:15am at Tectonic.
Here, he doesn't teach how to win fights. He teaches situational awareness, controlled response, and how to find the smart path out of a dangerous scenario, whether you're 12 or 60.
Included for anyone with a Tectonic membership and also available as a standalone program.
Come learn a new way to apply your strength and conditioning in the name of personal safety and protection!

This Memorial Day we will do it the way we always have.
Murph at 9:30am: a high-volume, aerobic community workout where we enter discomfort together to honor Lt. Michael Murphy, a Medal of Honor recipient who exposed himself to enemy fire to put out a call for help for his team.
Various partitions, partner versions, and scales will be on the whiteboard. Pick a version that keeps you moving!
After coming together to do something hard, we will come together to do something easy: Drinking before noon! 🥂Mimosas (and yummy non-alcoholic options) will be served after Murph.
Whether you're scaling, partnering, vesting up, or arriving ~10:30am for the post-workout hydration, you're in a for a good time.
Friends, fams, and pets are welcome, and drop-ins are free for Murph.

Every rep adds to your freedom.
The stronger you are, the longer — and better — you live.
Muscular strength is now recognized as one of the most important factors for maintaining health, function, and longevity. Both the CDC and the American College of Sports Medicine recommend regular strength training to preserve muscle mass, prevent frailty, and promote independence in older age.

Our very own pillar of the 6:15pm class, Brian Fogg, will be coaching Tectonic's first self-defense workshop series:
📝From Coach Brian:
"Martial Arts have been a huge part of my life. With a combined experience of over 20 years, my background comes from training and teaching Shaolin Kempo Karate and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. My experiences in Martial Arts have taught me the importance of physical fitness and the ability to move safely and confidently. I get immense joy in being able to contribute what I have learned and have everyone in the community share in the ability to carry themselves with assurance in their abilities.
If I am not at the gym I can be found exploring the Renaissance Faires, playing board games, working in my wood shop, or roaming outdoors with my dog, Kirby."
