For years, her feet reminded her every day that she had diabetic neuropathy.

Not with pain alone—but with the constant tingling, numbness, and uncomfortable sensations that never seemed to take a break.
She couldn't remember what it felt like to have normal sensation in her feet.

The tingling. The numbness. The uncomfortable sensations were there all the time. Day after day. Night after night.

She came to Recovery Space looking for support and committed herself to the process. She showed up consistently, even when changes were small and easy to miss.

About a month later, she shared something that made me smile.

"There are times now when I don't feel it at all."

Not every day is perfect. Sometimes the tingling or numbness still comes back. But now it is much milder, and there are many days when those uncomfortable sensations are simply not there.

That was a huge difference for her.

Something else changed too. She is sleeping better. She has more energy. She feels more like herself again.

I love stories like this because they remind me that healing is often quiet. It doesn't always arrive with a dramatic moment. Sometimes it arrives as a better night's sleep. A little more energy. A day without discomfort.

Small changes. Consistent effort. New possibilities. ❤️

The other day, a client stepped off the InBody scanner and looked at the paper for a long moment.

"I thought I was doing better," she said quietly.

I didn't say this out loud, but I noticed how quickly we can let a number decide the story we tell ourselves.

The truth is, an InBody scan is not a report card.

It is a snapshot.

Our bodies are living, changing, adapting. Hydration, sleep, stress, exercise, the time of day—even these small things can influence the numbers. That doesn't mean you failed. It means you have a human body, not a machine.

At Recovery Space, I love using InBody because it gives us information. Information can bring awareness. Awareness can guide our next step.

But numbers do not measure your discipline when no one is watching.
They do not measure the courage it took to begin again.
They do not measure how much stronger, wiser, or kinder you have become through difficult seasons.

The paper tells one story.

You tell the bigger one.

If you've been curious about where you are today—not to judge yourself, but to understand yourself a little better—we would be happy to welcome you at Recovery Space in Vancouver, WA.

One scan. One conversation. One small step forward.

Awareness, compassion, and curiosity. 🤍

One of the questions I get all the time in the studio is:

**"What benefits do people notice from Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy?"**

The other day, a client was sitting in the chamber before her session. She asked the same question while looking around the room.

The truth is... everyone notices something a little different.

Some people tell me they are sleeping better. Some notice they have more energy during the day. Others say they recover faster after exercise, surgery, or a busy week. Some simply tell me they feel more like themselves again.

It reminds me of watering a garden.

When you water a garden, the flowers, vegetables, and herbs do not all grow in exactly the same way. Each one responds according to what it needs.

Our bodies can be similar.

What I have noticed over and over is that consistency matters. One session can feel wonderful, but many people notice the biggest changes when they make it part of their routine and give their body time to respond.

Every person who walks into Recovery Space has a different story, a different goal, and a different reason for being here. That is one of my favorite parts of this work.

If you have been curious about Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy, I would love to answer your questions and show you around our Vancouver studio.

Heal. Restore. Recover. 🤍

I have been thinking about this lately…

Why do we eat?

It sounds like a simple question, but I am not sure we ask it often enough.

Do we eat just to make our stomach full?

Do we eat only to lose weight? Gain muscle? Follow a food plan?

Of course food can help us reach those goals. But I think Nourish goes deeper than that.

Imagine you are hungry and tired. You grab something quick. Your stomach is full, but an hour later you are hungry again. Or sleepy. Your brain feels foggy. It is hard to focus on work, study, or even enjoy a conversation.

On the other hand, some people try so hard to lose weight that they do not eat enough. They have no energy to move, think, create, or enjoy life.

That makes me wonder...

What if the purpose of food is not simply to fill us up or make the scale move?

What if food is information for our body?

What if food is energy for our brain, our muscles, our mood, our sleep, and our future self?

For me, Nourish means having enough energy to move my body, think clearly, learn new things, do meaningful work, sleep well, and wake up ready for another day.

Not every meal needs to be perfect.

But every meal is an opportunity to support the life we want to live.

I would love to hear your thoughts.

Why do YOU eat?

What does Nourish mean to you?

A few weeks ago, Andrew and I launched a new wellness community built around four pillars that support a healthy, balanced life:

✨ Move
🥗 Nourish
🌿 Recover
❤️ Connect

Yesterday we started our 6-Week Reset Challenge, but the good news is that you can join anytime.

This week is all about movement.

Our bodies were designed to move, but modern life gives us many reasons to stay still. Movement does not have to mean an intense workout or hours at the gym.

It can be a strength training session, a walk around the block, stretching while dinner is cooking, gardening, dancing in the kitchen, or simply getting up from your chair more often.

The goal this week is not to exercise perfectly.

The goal is to move your body a little more than usual and to do it consistently.

To help you get started, we recorded movement tutorials with Coach Ginger that are available inside the community.

I'm curious—what has movement looked like for you this week?

If you would like to join our new wellness community and access the challenge, movement tutorials, and support from others on the same journey, send me a DM and I'll send you the link.

One client walked into Recovery Space moving slowly, carefully — lower back pain had been following him for a long time. After a few hyperbaric and red light sessions, he looked at me and said quietly, “I don’t feel that pain anymore.” One client also shared that her acupuncturist noticed improvement and mentioned that the needles could now go deeper.

Another client told me her energy started coming back after only a couple sessions. Not the jittery kind from caffeine… real energy. The kind that lets you cook dinner, go for a walk, call a friend, and still feel like yourself at the end of the day.

One woman shared that she finally slept deeply again. Another client came every day for 5 days after knee surgery, and his surgeon was genuinely surprised how quickly he recovered. One more client stayed consistent through hyperbaric sessions, and little by little the tingling and numbness started reducing.

Different stories. Different bodies. Different healing timelines.

But there is something they all remind me of — the body truly wants to heal when we give it support, oxygen, rest, consistency, and patience.

I feel deeply grateful to witness these moments at Recovery Space every week. Quiet victories… but very meaningful ones.

Yesterday I almost skipped my reformer practice.

I felt tired, a little heavy, and honestly not very motivated… but I stepped onto the reformer anyway.

Just a few gentle movements and breathwork in the fitness room.

After everything I’ve experienced, I truly believe health is often built in very small moments — the quiet choices nobody sees.

To nourish.
To move.
To recover.
To connect.

Not perfectly. Just consistently, kindly, honestly.

Small choices become a life. 🤍
