After a weekend at home, the Valpo volleyball team returns to the road this week for an invitational co-hosted by Cleveland State and Akron. The Beacons will take on Coppin State at Akron Thursday evening before facing the hosts over the next two days.

Due to this week’s weather and its effect on court conditions at the Athletics-Recreation Center, Saturday’s matches of Valpo Volleyball Popcorn Classic have been moved to Washington Township H.S. (381 E State Rd 2, Valparaiso, IN 46383).

The tournament will still be ticketed, and fans should enter at Door 1. The day’s schedule remains the same, with Michigan facing Cincinnati at 1 p.m. and Valpo taking on Oakland at 6 p.m. Doors will open to the public one hour before each match. Due to the relocation, there will be no ESPN+ stream of the Valpo-Oakland match.

The installation of air conditioning at the ARC is in progress and construction is in its final phase.
