Join us Saturday, October 10th at 7 PM EST at the Valley Community Center for a scary good night as we show Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire (2024)!

Pick up the phone, call a friend, and head to the Valley Community Center for some Open Play Pickleball! A little friendly competition never hurt anyone, so grab your paddle and come see us on the courts.

Recreation Leader I – Parks/Grounds
Part-Time | 15–20 Hours per Week

The Recreation Leader I – Parks/Grounds position assists with the general maintenance and upkeep of parks, green spaces, and other recreational properties throughout the City of Valley. This is a hands-on, outdoor position focused on keeping city parks clean, safe, and well-maintained.

Primary Duties:
• Pick up trash and debris throughout city parks and recreational areas.
• Remove fallen sticks, limbs, and other debris from park grounds.
• Perform w**d eating, edging, and general grounds maintenance.
• Assist with mowing grass as needed.
• Operate small-engine equipment such as w**d eaters, blowers, and mowers.
• Assist Parks & Recreation staff with other outdoor maintenance projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
• Knowledge and experience operating small-engine lawn and grounds equipment.
• Ability to perform physical labor and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Ability to work independently and complete assigned tasks.
• Dependable and able to maintain a consistent work schedule.
Schedule:

Approximately 15–20 hours per week. Scheduling can be flexible; however, morning availability is preferred. Applications can be picked up at Valley City Hall or email [email protected]

🚫🏢The Valley Community Center will have a delayed opening this Saturday, September 19th, for our first-ever Splash-Dash-Road Rash Kids Triathlon.

The Valley Community Center will open at 12:00 PM EST on Saturday, September 19th. Guests and members will not be able to access the facility or parking lot until after the race concludes.🏃‍♀️👟

Homeschool PE takes over the gym at the Valley Community Center every Thursday from 10–11 AM EST!

For VCC Members, Homeschool PE is included FREE with your family membership for children ages 6–15.

🎃 Calling All Local Businesses & Organizations! 🎃

We’re looking for businesses, organizations, churches, and nonprofits to join us on the Trick-or-Treat Trail at the 2026 Fall Festival at the Valley Sportsplex!

If your business or organization would like to have a booth and hand out candy to trick-or-treaters, we would greatly appreciate your participation. Last year, we had amazing support from our community, and it helped make the Fall Festival a huge success!

Best of all, there is no cost to have a table! This is a great opportunity to promote your business or organization, connect with the community, and be part of a fun night for our local families. We just ask that you bring plenty of candy for all of our trick-or-treaters!
