Men's Registrant No. 27 for LAXNAI 2026: Gayogöhóno Lakers

The two-time LAXNAI quarterfinalists are regulars in North American Invitational's championship bracket, making appearances in both 2024 and 2025. With a roster built on experienced Senior B talent and local indigenous standouts, the team hung tough in the Gold pools last year, with tight games against the Frog Pond Maulers and St. Regis Braves and big wins over Kanehsatake Eagles and More Dudes.

The team joined a league for the first time in 2025, playing home games out of the storied Gil Lay Arena and winning the NABLL Upstate West division last year; they're hoping to repeat the feat with the divisional playoffs kicking off on Friday. Gayogöhóno is the traditional Cayuga-language name for the Cayuga Nation, and the team is sometimes known as the Cayuga Lakers.

Men's Registrant No. 26 for LAXNAI 2026: Istanbul Sultans

The Sultans have been on the international club box scene for years -- they've made nine appearances in the Aleš Hřebeský Memorial -- meeting and beating familiar faces along the way, including teams like the Ladner Pioneers, Megamen and Rez Dogs. Their best AHM finish was 2015, where they finished 8th, but they've stabilized as a solid Silver pool team in more recent years.

The club, originally launched by Turkey Lacrosse founder Patrick Dougherty, will make their North American Invitational debut this Fall in Utica, and it's fitting as the squad has evolved over the years from a Turkey national team feeder program to a roster featuring an eclectic variety of country flags. We're excited to see what they can do when they hit the blue turf on September 17th.

Men's Registrant No. 25 for LAXNAI 2026: Balkantourists LC

Balkantourists Lacrosse Club (fresh off a re-brand) is the North American supporter club of the Bulgarian National Lacrosse program. The roster is comprised of national team players, aspiring national team talent, heritage players, and supporters of Bulgaria Lacrosse. The mission of the club is to support the growth of the game of lacrosse in Bulgaria & develop national team hopeful players that are North American based.

Last year the Bulgarian entry went 3-2 with big wins over the the Blue Ducks, Full Senders and Greece to earn an entry into the Traditions Cup. They hope to continue their success and serving as a pipeline for Bulgaria's national team.

Men's Registrant No. 24 for LAXNAI 2026: Riverside Snappers

The Riverside Snappers make their debut at the North American Invitational in September, and they're hoping to pave their path out of the silver pools and into the Championship bracket with a roster built on Sr. B talent from Akwesasne, Kanehsatake, Six Nations, Quebec, Ontario and the US.

The team won the Kanehsatake Lax In the Pines tournament, but LAXNAI will be their major international tournament debut, and the team is stacked with experienced players in both competitive league and tournament play. Men's Registrant No. 23 for LAXNAI 2026: Team Lowball

You probably don't recognize the name or logo of the Lowball Apparel Collective; and that's by design. The Czech-based company, which has been quietly supplying uniforms to a bunch of our teams, likes promoting the brands of their customers, not their own. That sort of changes a little in September when Team Lowball makes their LAXNAI debut, and we think we might have a sleeper team in the making given the resources behind the entry.

The squad is seeking experienced box players to round out their inaugural roster, and like their low-cost, high quality apparel, Team Lowball's player fee for co-sponsored athletes is substantially lower than the fair market value. Like most teams, they're focused on looking good on the floor, but we know with certainty that Team Lowball will look good off the floor too, as the athlete package includes entirely way too much swag. Men's Registrant No. 22 for LAXNAI 2026: Seneca Marksmen

The pinstripe-laden heavyweights known as the Seneca Marksmen will be rolling East on the Thruway for their eighth appearance in the North American Invitational. Last year they went 4-2 with a pair of losses to the Rochester Bats; including a 4-3 semifinal thriller where they nearly dethroned the champs.

They earned monster wins over some serious competition, including the Code Talkers (8-3), Frog Pond Maulers (6-4) and the Moon Bears (16-2)! Most impressively, they've reached the semifinals for four straight Invitationals. We're guessing a fifth straight Final Four isn't the achievement they're on the prowl for.

Women's Registrant No. 7 for LAXNAI 2026: Poland

Poland is back at LAXNAI after a program-best 3-2 mark at last year's Invitational, including a big win over European gold medalist Israel, as well as victories over Identity Lacrosse and the Lady Yeti.

While the Polish program hasn't yet broken through at a major quadrennial championship event, they've been hyper-active in building experience for their player pool at the North American Invitational and other events on both sides of the Atlantic; they're also regulars at SHE-BOX in Prague, WBOX Grit in Coquitlam and our Traditions Cup tournament right down the road in Oneida.

Men's Registrant No. 21 for LAXNAI 2026: Germany Heritage

The Germany Heritage team is back at the North American Invitational for a second straight year, and they'll be representing one of the more steady box lacrosse nations with a North American-based heritage roster!

The team is looking to climb the rankings after wins over France and The Blue Ducks at last year's LAXNAI, and they're a program on the rise as the field squad had an impressive showing in May's Heritage Cup, finishing 4th with big wins over Armenia, France, Ghana and Israel.

Men's Registrant No. 20 for LAXNAI 2026: Kanehsatake Eagles

“It means something when you play for your community,” Kyle Atkwiroton Canatonquin told the Pines Reporter after the Kanehsatake Eagles earned third place in their inaugural Quebec Senior C League campaign. The Eagles made their debut at last year's North American Invitational, securing the bittersweet 17th place ranking with a 4-1 finish and a single loss to the Gayogo̱hó꞉nǫʼ Lakers. That momentum helped re-launch the Eagles into proper league play -- after a 30-year hiatus -- for a journey that was clearly more meaningful than meets the eye.

Now back at LAXNAI for their second appearance, the squad looks to build upon last year's big wins over tournament heavyweight Goldstar Tel Aviv and the home squad Yeti; but their mission, emphasizing rebuilding Mohawk lacrosse within Kanehsatake is just as important as winning games on our blue turf.

Men's Registrant No. 19 for LAXNAI 2026: The Blue Ducks

The Blue Ducks are back for their second North American Invitational after a winless debut earned them 40th place in 2025. Despite the 0-5 record, the Ducks were never blown out and were generally competitive with one-goal deficits to Bang City and Stallions LC.

While most of the roster has some box experience at different levels, the squad has the most visibility in the Syracuse field lacrosse summer league. However, they're more well known for their good spirited off-floor antics, as well as their Billy Madison-inspired blue duck imagery.
