Through a variety of rhythm instruments and yoga, children develop fine motor and gross motor movement skills.

In Active Yoga we have a theme for the class. We learn poses related to that theme and then play games that incorporate those poses. We add challenge poses at the end that invite the children to work with a partner or the group to test their balance, flexibility, and strength. Pictured here students during our Safari theme are playing Safari photographer. Games like this not only promote gross motor development but also social skills.
