Urbana Dance Company The Urbana Dance Company is a dance and performing arts school as well as a dance company that creates original work for performance.

Kate's work is deeply inspired by her leadership in United to End Racism (UER), an organization that is dedicated to eliminating racism in the world by using the resources and tools of Re-evaluation Counseling. Re-evaluation Counseling is a process whereby people of all ages and of all backgrounds can learn how to exchange effective help to heal from past distress. Kate informally uses this counseling process as a vehicle for creation of movement and content. Through research, Co-counseling, and interpersonal relationships, Kate creates a space where new corporeal connections can be formed. Kate is not so interested in the trained dancer but rather the moving body of all people as a means of better understanding social and political relations.
