I’m a firefighter/Paramedic in Canyon Lake, Texas with over 30 yrs of experience with snakes.
Still haven’t really measured her but I need to. Best guess on her length aaaaaaand go.

Ground cover plants like this one provide shade and protection from the elements during a hot day. IF you need to tend to your garden, watch where you put your hands and feet and don’t reach or step somewhere you can’t see the ground.
You don’t have to live with an irrational fear…there are easier ways to get over it though haha.
Coachwhips are great to have around, especially this time of year!

Throwback Thursday to this removal with Big Country Snake Removal last winter. I think we ended up with almost 50 rattlesnakes!

I could write a book about this little girl. She is absolutely amazing and loves just about anything that draws breath. Fearless yet respectful with snakes since before she could walk and has since emasculated many men 😂.
