Every finisher at the 2026 9/11 Run to Remember will take home this year’s commemorative medal — but what it represents is far greater than the finish line.

This year marks 25 years since September 11, 2001.

A quarter of a century has passed, but the importance of remembering has not.

The 9/11 Run to Remember gives our community a place to pause, reflect, and honor the 2,977 lives lost, the first responders and military members who answered the call, and the countless people whose lives were forever changed.

For those who remember September 11 firsthand, and for the generations who only know it through stories, this anniversary is an opportunity to make sure those stories continue to be told.

We gather at the California 9/11 Memorial in Clovis, a permanent place of remembrance, to honor the past while carrying its lessons forward.
