A little more ballet magic is coming to SZN 16! ✨ We’re thrilled to have Phoenix Wilkins in the studio sharing his passion for ballet, strong technique, and artistry with our dancers.

We can’t wait to see our dancers grow and be challenged in his classes this season. 🩵

Phoenix Wilkins grew up in a dance family and began training at his father’s school, DASSdance, at age 7. His training includes ballet, jazz, contemporary, hip hop, and acro, with additional training at Joffrey Ballet School NYC, State Street Ballet, and with renowned artists Donald Byrd and Alonzo King.
Phoenix has performed professionally with DASSdance, Inland Dance Theatre, Peninsula Ballet Theatre, and is currently in his second season with Oakland Ballet Company. His teaching experience includes DASSdance, Peninsula Ballet School, and Classical Ballet of California.

So excited to welcome KADAR RAY to the TruDance staff this season! 🔥 Kadar will be bringing the vibes as one of our Hip Hop instructors, and we’re so happy to have her with us for SZN 16. Welcome to the Tru fam, Kadar!🩵

Kadar Ray was born and raised in Oakland, CA. Over the course of a decade-long professional career, she has trained at the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater School, Lines Ballet, and Culture Shock Oakland and has performing for artists such as Snoop Dogg, Asia Ray Monet, and others. She has performed across a wide range of stages — from music videos to halftime shows — and has taught at schools and centers throughout the Bay Area. She remains committed to cultivating the next generation of dancers through culturally grounded, technically instruction.
