Francesco Puppi's 100-mile debut was one of the fastest performances in history.
puppi finished 2nd in 13:51:08, and proved that his speed and mountain experience could carry deep into uncharted distances. The field was stacked this year, and Francesco showed that holding back until the perfect time can lead to a podium. 🥈

Boot and rally.
Riley started their race smart, tending to little issues that previously cost them the race. But no ultra is complete without complications. Battling through vision blur and an upset stomach from fueling complications, Riley fought for the podium every step of the way to Auburn.
They summed it up perfectly in our post-race interview: "New things always seem to pop up in ultras."

3 ways Dylan Scott used his COROS Heart Rate tracking to win a world championship:
1️⃣ 58% of his training was spent in an active recovery heart rate zone. Dylan built a rock-solid base, with a focus on building endurance and power.
2️⃣ Early in the race, while other athletes started out fast, Dylan kept something in the tank. “The biggest asset for me is tracking my heart rate early on. It prevents me from pushing too hard before the sleds.”
3️⃣ Knowing when to push during the post-row run, Dylan let his heart rate surge to 183 bpm, his highest heart rate of the event, and then did it again during Wall Balls to overtake the lead.
Dylan's analytical approach to performance and recovery is one to study. Learn more about his build to Worlds and how COROS helped him get there at: https://coros.com/stories/more-than-splits/c/dylan-scott-world-champion?utm_source=facebook&utm_medium=referral
