🩰🌟HAPPY FIRST WEEK OF CLASS, Tupelo Ballet!

We had a great summer full of camps and intensives followed by our Sugar Plum Retreat to learn Nutcracker choreography. Next, dancers jumped into a full week of learning choreography for our new competition teams. We’ve been busy but now we are thrilled to welcome all of our students back for the 2026-27 year!

With the start of the new school year we are offering some Tupelo Ballet swag, including T-shirts and sweatshirts. You can shop at www.tupeloballet.com —> The Studio Shop

🛍️ Orders are due by Friday, September 18.
📦 All items will be delivered to the studio and available for pickup the week of October 5.

🌟🩰With just ONE WEEK AWAY from starting classes at Tupelo Ballet Academy, we’re looking back over our summer of dancing and want to highlight some of our Tupelo Ballet company members who put in the extra work!

Early in 2026, eight of our company members auditioned and were accepted to various summer intensive programs across the country. These dancers earned the opportunity to train in studios with new instructors, choreographers, and artists—an incredible part of a dancer’s growth! The programs challenged them with different styles of dance and teaching methods and helped to build and broaden their strength and technique. 💪 We are proud of their discipline and commitment, and excited to have them all back for another season with Tupelo Ballet!

These high-energy classes combine hip-hop, pom technique, sharp movements, and performance skills to build confidence, coordination, musicality, and stage presence. A great fit for dancers who love to perform and want to sharpen their skills for pom and dance teams.

💕🐭🩰Thank you, Tupelo Ballet families, for making our Open House & Family Fun Day such a wonderful afternoon!

We loved welcoming our new and returning students as we kick off year two of Tupelo Ballet Academy! It was so much fun seeing everyone back in the studio, showing off their moves in our drop-in hip hop class, meeting our faculty, crafting, and exploring our beautiful home at TBA.

We’ve spent the last few days working to open additional classes so that as many dancers as possible can join us this year! If you’re currently on a waitlist or have questions about your schedule, please reach out to Lizzie at [email protected]. We have openings in a few classes, so there’s still time to join us for an exciting year of dance!

Classes begin Monday, August 31! We can’t wait to dance into another amazing year with you! ✨

We’re ready for you to join us as we kick off a brand-new year at Tupelo Ballet Academy!

Whether you’re already part of the TBA family or you’re thinking about joining us for the first time, we can’t wait to welcome you!

There will be something for everyone:

🩰 Drop-in dance classes (and yes, parents, you can join in too!)
🎨 Face painting
🎀 Water bottle lanyard craft for our younger dancers

Today is August 1, which means we’ve officially entered the hottest month of the year! 🥵☀️

Keeping our dancers cool during long rehearsals is a challenge, but thanks to one of our amazing board members, we’re ready for the August heat!

A huge thank you to Mikey Duncan of MD Electric who generously volunteered his time last week to install two oversized commercial ceiling fans in each of our studios. These new fans will help keep our dancers more comfortable all season long!

You may also recognize Mikey as one of our handsome “Party Dads” from the 2025 production of The Nutcracker! He is just as willing to work behind the scenes as he is to step into the spotlight.

Thank you, Mikey, for helping make Tupelo Ballet an even better place for our students! We appreciate you! ♥️🔌

🎉 You’re Invited to our Open House & Family Fun Day! 🩰🍦🎨

Come celebrate the start of a new dance season with us on Sunday, August 9 from 2:00–4:00 PM. You have a chance to tour the whole studio, meet our faculty and staff, and participate in free dance classes! We will have face painting and games for the younger dancers and an ice cream truck on site for everyone to enjoy!

Whether you’re stepping into the studio for the first time or returning for another amazing season, we can’t wait to welcome you!
