These aren't models. They aren't professional athletes.
They're teachers, retirees, nurses, accountants, grandparents, parents, business owners, and friends.
Some are training for their first 5K.
Some are preparing for the Tulsa Run or Route 66 Marathon.
Some simply want to stay healthy and active.
The one thing they all have in common?
They showed up.
And somewhere along the way, teammates became friends.
If you've been looking for a group that will encourage you, challenge you, and celebrate every milestone, we'd love to meet you this Saturday.

โจ Success Story Monday โจ
Five years ago, one of our members hung up their running shoes.
They had started running in their 40s, completed a 10K, and then life got busy. Running became a memory.
Then a friend invited them to try RunWalk Tulsa (formerly Tulsa Galloway).
Everything changed.
Instead of feeling exhausted after every workout, they began feeling stronger. Their endurance improved. Their pace improved. Most importantly, they started enjoying running again.
Before joining, the farthest they had ever run was 6 miles.
Less than a year later, they crossed the finish line of their first half marathonโ13.1 miles! ๐
Here's what they shared:
"Running has brought more calm into my everyday life. But the best part is the people. Everyone is so supportive, knowledgeable, and willing to help you reach your goal. This is the community that makes running fun!"
Whether your goal is to walk farther, complete your first 5K, finish your next marathon, or simply become more active, we'll help you train at your pace.

Drills, segment runs, and a reminder that the fundamentals make us stronger. Every step has a purpose, and every workout builds toward race day. Bonus that we got to see the Strawberry moon ๐
Galloway is the way! ๐

๐๏ธ Hills Build More Than Strength
One of the reasons hill training is such an important part of our program is that hills develop many of the same benefits as speed workโwith less impact and without requiring anyone to run fast.
This week our RunWalk Tulsa members tackled hill workouts across four sessions:
โ๏ธ Wednesday Morning โ Broken Arrow
๐
Wednesday Evening โ Gathering Place
โ๏ธ Thursday Morning โ Ronald McDonald House
๐ Thursday Evening โ Ronald McDonald House
Hill training helps build:
โ
Endurance
โ
Cardiovascular fitness
โ
Running efficiency
โ
Power and strength
โ
Mental toughness
โ
Confidence
Whether you're walking, running or training with the Run-Walk-Runยฎ Method for a 5K, half marathon, marathon, or simply better fitness, hills can help you become stronger without focusing on pace.
The hill may only last a few minutes, but the benefits carry over to every workout and race day.
And despite all those hills, just look at those happy faces! ๐๐โโ๏ธ๐ถโโ๏ธ

๐โโ๏ธ THIS WEEK'S TRAINING FOCUS: Why Speed Isn't Just About Running Faster ๐โโ๏ธ
Four workouts. Two days. Multiple locations. One goal: helping our members become stronger, healthier, and more confident.
This week began with workouts in:
โ๏ธ Broken Arrow (Monday AM)
๐
Gathering Place (Monday PM)
โ๏ธ Ronald McDonald House (Tuesday AM)
๐ Tulsa Runner (Tuesday PM)
Our Monday and Tuesday workouts focus on drills and speed work, but here's something many people don't realize:
Speed training isn't just for fast runners.
When done correctly, it helps improve:
โ
Efficiency
โ
Endurance
โ
Cardiovascular fitness
โ
Confidence
โ
Running and walking form
Whether you're training for your first 5K, a half marathon, a marathon, or simply looking to stay active, structured workouts help you get more from every mile.
One of the things that makes RunWalk Tulsa unique is the flexibility to train at multiple locations throughout the week, with options for runners, run-walkers, and walkers of all paces.
Another great start to the weekโand apparently we were extra photogenic along the way. ๐ธ๐
