Itโs begun! The West Bank construction of Zinc Dam is underway. The โDeath Trapโ Dam has been removed! The new gates are going in to avoid a drowning machine and allow fish passage.

Construction to begin on 'national caliber' whitewater park made possible by Oklahoma, Arkansas partnerships, officials say The WOKA Whitewater Park will be located on the Illinois River in northeastern Adair County.

A $15 million whitewater park at old Lake Frances is in the works from GRDA, Walton Family Foundation The new public park would cover roughly 25-30 acres. The main attraction would be a 1,000-foot long, 50-foot-wide side channel off the river with seven drop-features to provide wave action
