As one of our Sonoran Dolphins Team Leads, Maile brings a gentle, calm, and supportive approach to every swimmer she works with. After more than two years with Saguaro Aquatics, she continues to be a hardworking, dependable teammate who is always ready to support both our swimmers and staff. 🌵
We’re so grateful to have Maile as part of our SD team and for the positive environment she helps create in and out of the water!

Each Friday, we’re shining a spotlight on our Sonoran Dolphins program and the amazing people who make it so special! Throughout this series, we’ll be highlighting our program, swimmers, and coaches while celebrating the progress, dedication, and milestones that happen every day.
This week, we’re highlighting the Sonoran Dolphins program as a whole!
Our Sonoran Dolphins program provides adaptive swim lessons for children and adults with special needs. Each lesson is tailored to the swimmer’s unique needs, goals, and abilities, creating an encouraging environment where they can build water safety skills, confidence, strength, and independence at their own pace. 💦
At Saguaro Aquatics, we believe every swimmer’s journey is unique, and every milestone deserves to be celebrated! ✨

Our Special Abilities Aqua Aerobics Group Class is designed specifically for adults with intellectual disabilities, offering adaptive water fitness in a welcoming and encouraging environment.
Participants can improve strength, balance, and overall wellness while enjoying positive social interaction and meaningful connections with others. Most importantly, every individual is supported at their own pace by caring, experienced instructors.

Today, we recognize World Autism Day and stand together in support of acceptance, understanding, and inclusion for individuals with autism. 💙
At Saguaro Aquatics, our Sonoran Dolphins program is dedicated to creating a safe, supportive, and empowering environment where every swimmer can grow in confidence, develop life-saving water skills, and feel a true sense of belonging.
We’re excited to continue that mission in our community! Join us on April 25 at the All in for Autism Dino Day & Walk. We’ll be at the Resource Fair and featured in the Dino Hunt game. We would love to see you there!

Water safety isn’t one-size-fits-all, especially for children with ASD.
We are coming together with Swim Dynamic and United Way Children’s Resource Center to host a live Adaptive Water Safety Webinar focused on drowning prevention for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder and other developmental, sensory, and physical differences.
This webinar goes beyond basic water safety rules. We’ll talk about:
