Stewart Dirty Double was an unforgettable weekend! August 1-2, Montgomery, NY

Day 1 – Gravel Race: A lightning-fast start with a course that mixed gravel roads, puddles, and slippery singletrack filled with rocks and roots. It was a true test of speed and bike handling. Huge respect to Cooper Ward for battling through a cold and still showing up to race.

Day 2 – XC MTB Race: The course was an absolute blast with mint trail conditions. Fast, flowing, and incredibly fun from start to finish. Another great day of racing, great competition, and an awesome weekend on the bike.

Grateful for the experience and already looking forward to the next race! 🚵💪

Fair Hill Firecracker XC and Endurance Race, Elkton MD July 11, 2026

The Fair Hill Firecracker XC & Endurance Race took place on Saturday, July 11, 2026, at the Gallaher Road Event Grounds in Elkton, Maryland. Part of the Mid-Atlantic Super Series (MASS), this year’s race featured high-intensity cross-country and endurance on the usual flowy, yet challenging wooded trails. With high temperatures and humidity, racers required good hydration and pacing along with health determination. The RDC squad showed up in force, scoring as the top Endurance team for the day, and an excellent result in XC, tying several other teams for top team scoring at the Firecracker!

Michaux MTB Marathon,Biglerville, PA - June 27, 2026

The Michaux Mountain Bike Marathon packs 27.5 miles and 3070 feet of climbing into a longstanding rugged Pennsylvania mountain bike course. Terrain featured rock gardens, steep technical climbs, and fast loose descents which demanded focus and rewarded confident riding. Every mile felt earned, making the finish line especially satisfying on one of the Mid-Atlantic's premier marathon mountain bike courses.

Another massive weekend in the books for Rare Disease Cycling at The Challenger ()! Huge thanks to the organizers for a well-run, well-marked event that injects fresh course variety year after year. High humidity made things a bit soupy, but rain the day prior left the dirt in prime shape, even if the rooty sections were slick. The squad threw down incredibly strong performances all day to ensure we hold onto our #1 team ranking in both the MASS XC and Endurance standings. So proud of how this team shows up and gets it done! 💥

Some more Enduro happenings! Massanutten Resort hosted the Hoo Ha Enduro on June 6-7 on their Western Slopes trails in the Shenandoah Mountains.
A grueling 6 stages and 50+ minutes of racing (12-25 minutes is our typical) on some epic trails with really technical terrain at the top of the mountain and fast flowy fun machine built at the bottom. It was certainly a challenge!

Racers enjoyed sunny and cool mountain weather as they took on the relentlessly rocky and hilly trails of Greenwood Furnace State Park. Rare Disease Cycling showed up ready for the challenge and handled the rock gardens, log overs, extended climbs, and even the occasional rattlesnake with ease, with everyone securing a spot on the podium. 2026 Pig Iron Enduro, June 14, 2026
The Rare Disease Enduro crew had a strong showing at the 2026 Pig Iron Enduro at the Geisinger Stewardship Trails. The course featured plenty of pedaling on the opening stages, testing riders fitness early in the day, before rewarding racers with some fun and fast sections later on. The Enduro featured highly competitive times and the usual hot, early-summer Pennsylvania conditions. The RDC squad arrived ready with 10 riders and exceptional results overall, and a podium sweep for the Men’s Open/Pro Class! Impressive, with a crash from Alex and no chain for Will, both on stage 5! And John with a real win for the day competing in both ebike and analog categories! With riders spread across nearly every category, the team put together an impressive set of results.

Lewis Morris Challenge H2H – June 20, 2026

The Lewis Morris Challenge H2H race delivered perfect racing weather with temperatures ranging from 70°F to 80°F. The course at Lewis Morris Park was challenging and fun, featuring loose-rock descents, technical sections, and plenty of climbing that tested both skill and endurance. The downhill sections demanded focus and bike handling, while the relentless climbs rewarded strong legs and determination.
A special shoutout goes to Cooper Ward for his toughness and determination. After suffering a bad crash during warm-up, he still lined up and raced despite significant knee pain. His grit and perseverance were truly inspiring and showed what mountain bike racing is all about.
