Yesterday, George Allen Durkee, 85, visited De La Vega Art Gallery with friends who believe in his work and wanted to help bring his art back into the light here in Tucson.

85 years of life.
55 years of painting.
And still creating.

We spent time together in the gallery, talking, sharing stories, and moving through his paintings.

Then, as George was loading his work into his car, something unexpected happened — a collector drove by, stopped, and was immediately captivated by his work.

You can’t plan moments like that. ❤️
