đ¨FMCSA Removes one ELD from Registered List đ¨
Today, FMCSA removed one Electronic Logging Device (ELD) from its list of approved devices for use in commercial motor vehicles.
âDevices that donât meet federal standards will be removed from FMCSAâs registered list. Since January 2025, weâve already taken off more than 56 devices, and weâll keep going to protect the integrity of the ELD program and to keep Americaâs roads safe,â said FMCSA Administrator Derek D. Barrs.
Drivers using the revoked ELD must switch to paper logs immediately.
Motor carriers have 60 days to replace the device.

đ¨ALERT: Recent Phishing Scheme Targeting Motor Carriersđ¨
FMCSA has identified an aggressive phishing campaign.
Emails falsely claiming to be from FMCSA/USDOT ask for sensitive info or payments and link to non-government (non-.gov) sites.
Remember, official FMCSA emails almost always use a .gov domain. In special cases, such as surveys after Contact Center calls, emails may come from non-.gov addresses but request feedback only, no sensitive info.
If unsure, donât click linksâverify with FMCSA Contact Center (https://ask.fmcsa.dot.gov/app/ticket ) and report scams to FBI IC3 (https://www.ic3.gov ).
