We sent five of our coaches to USA Gymnastics National Congress last weekend. They sharpened their coaching skills by participating in spotting clinics and attending educational lectures.

OPGA AUGUST 2026 STAFF SPOTLIGHT
Fernando has been coaching since 2013 and joined the OPGA family last year. His favorite events are floor and vault. His favorite part about coaching is seeing his students accomplish new skills. He was born and raised in Chihuahua, Mexico. Spanish is his first language and English is his second language. Fernando is a night owl who enjoys working out at the gym, watching movies, traveling, and trying new cuisines. A fun fact about Fernando is that he played competitive chess for eight years. The next time you see Fernando, make sure to say Hola!
