đ IS FRUIT âTOO MUCH SUGARâ IF YOUâRE TRYING TO LOSE WEIGHT?
Fruit is not a candy bar with better marketing.
Whole fruit comes with fiber and water. That is a different story than juice, soda, or a handful of dried fruit the size of a meal.
If you have been skipping the apple because of sugar, that rule is probably costing you an easy win.
TODAYâS CHALLENGE
Eat one piece of whole fruit with a meal today.
Not juice. Not a bag of dried mango. One apple, orange, berries in a bowl â something you actually like.
đŹ Which fruit do you actually like enough to eat twice a week?

đ„Š IF YOUR FRESH VEGETABLES KEEP DYING IN THE FRIDGE⊠BUY THEM FROZEN.
Seriously.
Frozen vegetables are not the âless healthyâ version.
Research comparing fresh and frozen produce found that vitamin and mineral levels were often similar â and sometimes higher in frozen produce than in fresh produce that had been sitting in the refrigerator for several days.
So if this sounds familiar:
Monday: âIâm eating healthy this week.â
Friday: finds liquefied spinach in the back of the refrigerator. đ
Give yourself permission to make healthy eating easier.
Keep a few bags of:
đ„Š Broccoli
đ± Green beans
đ„ Mixed vegetables
đ« Peas
đż Spinach
in the freezer.
Microwave them, season them, and dinner is handled in 5 minutes.
THIS WEEKâS CHALLENGE
Buy one frozen vegetable youâll actually eat and use it with dinner at least twice.
No complicated recipe required.
And I really want to know:
Which vegetable do you keep buying fresh⊠and then throwing away? đ

đ§ YOUR SALT SHAKER MAY NOT BE THE BIGGEST PROBLEM.
Most of the sodium Americans eat doesnât come from adding salt at the table.
It comes from packaged, prepared, and restaurant foods â including foods that donât even taste very salty.
So before you start eating bland chicken and broccoliâŠ
Look at the LABEL.
A sandwich, soup, salad dressing, deli meat, frozen meal, or restaurant meal can quietly add up fast.
đŻ TODAYâS 60-SECOND CHALLENGE
Grab 3 foods you eat regularly and look at the sodium per serving.
Donât change anything yet.
Just find the one that surprises you most.
Bonus: If you use canned beans or vegetables, drain and rinse them. The American Heart Association says this can reduce sodium by up to about 40%.
đŹ What food surprised you the most when you finally checked the sodium?

đ± DOES SOY âRAISE ESTROGENâ AFTER MENOPAUSE?
This is one of the most persistent nutrition myths we hear.
Soy contains compounds called isoflavones, sometimes called phytoestrogens.
But phytoestrogens are not the same thing as human estrogen.
A 2025 analysis of 40 randomized trials involving 3,285 postmenopausal women found that soy isoflavones did not significantly change estradiol, FSH, endometrial thickness, or another measure of estrogen activity compared with controls.
So you don't need to be afraid of foods like:
đ± Edamame
đ„ Unsweetened soy milk
đœ Tofu
đ„ą Tempeh
And soy gives you something particularly useful as we age:
Protein.
TODAY'S CHALLENGE
Try replacing one protein choice this week with a whole soy food.
Chicken stir-fry â tofu stir-fry
Dairy milk â unsweetened soy milk
Snack â edamame
I'm talking about food, not high-dose isoflavone supplements.
đŹ Did someone ever tell you women should avoid soy because of estrogen â YES or NO?

Does soy âraise estrogenâ after menopause?
This is one of the most persistent nutrition myths we hear.
Soy has isoflavones, sometimes called phytoestrogens. Those are not the same thing as human estrogen.
A 2025 analysis of 40 trials in 3,285 postmenopausal women found soy isoflavones did not meaningfully change the estrogen measures they tracked.
You donât need to be afraid of edamame, unsweetened soy milk, tofu, or tempeh. And soy is protein.
Todayâs challenge: swap one protein this week for a whole soy food. Food, not high-dose supplements.
Did someone ever tell you women should avoid soy because of estrogen? Yes or no?
