What a beautiful night for a game under the lights. Not the outcome our Homers For Hope Yankees were looking for, and they fell to the Northampton Angels, but a huge thanks to the Angels team who fundraiser close to $2000 towards our event benefitting the Monto family! All for love of the game ❤️⚾️

Today was the end of a rough season for our Homers For Hope Yankees, who missed the playoffs for the first time in 6 years. But for just the second time in the team’s 25 year history, they turned a triple play! And in one of the more difficult ways - a 1-4-3 triple play from Derrick Morgan to Tom Crilley to Dan Fox! And the best takeaway was that the team contributed towards fundraising to help pay bills for the Myers and Dudley families over the next several months!

Amazing!

While Mother Nature didn't allow our Homers for Hope Yankees enough time to finish their game on Sunday to conclude with a comeback, the highlight of the day was the pregame ceremony where we honored the Dudley family and unveiled how much the team raised to help pay their bills. We are saddened to hear about the passing of Wilmer Reid, who was a staple in the stands as a scout for decades of baseball in Philadelphia, especially while we were part of the historic Fairmount Park ‘A’ League.
