The Cougar Re-Entry Program at Kean University offers a six-week job-training program for eligible individuals with a history of incarceration or who are currently on probation.

Training includes financial literacy, résumé building, career planning, goal setting and job searching. Participants may also receive support with certifications, employment services and referrals to additional resources.

A Special Agency Day will be held Thursday, September 17, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Ocean County Housing Resource Center, 405 Washington Street in Toms River.

Community members can access mobile showers, free haircuts, free meals and services from participating local agencies. Free meals will be available from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Feed the Need pantry services are back for Ocean County residents age 18 and older. Call to schedule a pantry pickup. Individuals actively enrolled in an MHAOC program may also qualify for home delivery.

Connect with local agencies and community resources at the Ocean County Housing Resource Center on Wednesday, September 9, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Representatives from Ocean County Social Services, Family Promise, Hope Sheds Light, LivWell Healthcare, the Mental Health Association of NJ, VNA Harm Reduction Center, Division of Vocational Rehabilitation Services, and more will be available to provide information and assistance.
