We are so proud of Donovan Stesner! Donovan showed major improvements since his last fight. Came out strong and composed and scored an immediate takedown. Donovan also looked sharp on his feet throughout the fight. Unfortunately it didn’t go our way when Donovan got his back taken in a scramble and got caught. What we are most proud of is his mentality post fight. His motivation and determination to improve is second to none. We know he’s gonna have a bright future in this sport. Post fight Donovan was surrounded by friends family and his team. Words cannot express how important it is to have a solid team come out and show support. Nothing like hearing your team going nuts in support of you living your dream. Thank you to everyone who came out in the terrible weather to show him your support.

We are excited to have our fist annual pumpkin decorating contest! Pumpkins can be painted or decorated however creative you want! For carved pumpkins please keep in mind that they spoil easily. If you plan on carving a pumpkin please take note with the link in the comments on how to preserve a carved pumpkin. All pumpkins will be displayed in the Academy. Winner for each age group will win an Academy of Boo Jitsu tee shirt! halloween

Today The Academy of Jiu Jitsu hosted our annual End of Summer Party Castaway’s Pub in Lavallette! ☀️🌊

First and foremost, we want to thank our incredible team for creating another year of great memories with us! We truly couldn’t be more proud of the team and family we’ve built. Every one of you plays a huge part in making The Academy what it is today.

The overwhelming support you show for one another, both on and off the mats, is truly something special. The friendships, camaraderie, and sense of family within this team are exactly what The Academy is all about. Thank you for continuing to show up for one another and for making this community something we are so proud to be a part of.

A huge thank you once again to Castaways Pub for always being such incredible hosts for our parties! If you’re in Lavallette, be sure to check them out. Great atmosphere, excellent food, outstanding service, and even better people!
