What a weekend. đ„
We had several teams compete at BCS and every one of them represented Igneous incredibly well.
Coach Joey & Travis â 2nd RX đ„
Coach John & Troy â an incredibly close 4th
Coach Kyle & Briaâ 2nd Masters Scaled đ„
Iâm proud of the finishes, but even more proud of how you guys competed. You worked hard, pushed yourselves, supported each other and represented this community the right way.
And to the MASSIVE crew that came out to support, thank you. I hope our athletes realize how special that is. They may be the ones on the competition floor, but there is an entire community standing behind them. Thatâs Igneous.
And then Coach Riley went and FINISHED THE LEADVILLE 100 MILE RUN and took 3rd in her age group. đ€Żđ„
100 miles through the mountains. At altitude. Hours of continuing to move forward when your body and mind are begging you to stop. Riley, what an incredible accomplishment. We are so proud of you.
This whole weekend reminded me of something I want our community to hear:
Sign up for things that scare you.
It doesnât have to be a CrossFit competition or a 100-mile race. Your goal doesnât need to look like anyone elseâs. Just give yourself something to chase.
Put something on the calendar that makes you nervous. Something that gives your training purpose. Something that gets you out of bed on the days you donât feel like it. Something that requires you to grow.
Because sometimes the biggest win isnât the podium, the medal or even the finish line.
Sometimes the biggest win is the person you had to become just to get there.
Proud of everyone who competed. Proud of Riley. Proud of everyone who showed up and supported them.
And dang proud to call this crew ours.
This is Igneousâ€ïž
