Last year, we asked our Little League families, coaches, and volunteers to tell us what was working, what wasn’t, and what they wanted to see improved. Here are just a few of the changes and improvements that came directly from feedback in our 2025 survey:
🌐 Communication & Scheduling
We launched ticonderogalittleleague.com, giving families one place to register, view schedules, important dates, rules, league information, and updates (in addition to our page).
🍔 Snack Shack & Volunteering
Families asked for a more consistently open Snack Shack and an easier way to volunteer. We added online volunteer sign-ups to our website, making it easier to see available dates and help out. Thanks to our volunteers, we were able to keep the Snack Shack open consistently throughout the season!
⚾ Field Maintenance & Improvements
Field conditions were one of the biggest areas identified for improvement. The league invested in additional maintenance equipment, including a lawn mower and equipment to help with dragging, mowing, and moving infield material.
☀️ Spectator Seating & Shade
With the help of two sponsors, we added two metal picnic tables with umbrellas for additional seating and shade. With support from the Town of Ticonderoga and Essex County Youth Bureau, we also replaced an older, out-of-code set of bleachers with two new code-compliant bleacher sets installed on concrete pads with protective fencing.
🥎 T-Ball Development
Based on feedback, we introduced optional soft toss/kneel pitching for players ready for an additional challenge, while still allowing players to continue hitting from the tee.
📅 More Little League Games
Families asked for more opportunities to play. In 2026, our Little League division scheduled games Monday through Friday, along with three games each Saturday. We also brought back the Little League playoffs, giving teams additional games and adding some extra excitement to the end of the season!
⭐ All-Star Transparency
Families asked for more transparency surrounding All-Star selections. We created a dedicated section on our website explaining eligibility, selection criteria, the selection process, expectations, and other important information so every family has access to the same information.
NOW WE WANT TO HEAR FROM YOU AGAIN!
Not every suggestion can happen in a single season, but your feedback helps our Board understand what matters most to our families and where we should focus our time, funding, grant opportunities, and future improvements.
Whether you had a player in T-Ball, Minor League, or Little League, coached, volunteered, or spent your season cheering from the sidelines, we want your feedback.
Please take a few minutes to complete our 2026 End-of-Season Survey and please share this post so we can hear from as many Ticonderoga Little League families as possible!
