We are so excited to welcome our first acting coach to TYC!

Sylvia Kolb was born and raised in and around NYC where she started dancing at age 4. Shortly after, she began performing in musicals, finding her love of acting. She has performed professionally around the country in LA, NYC, and regional theater productions, including the LA Fringe Festival. At iO West she performed on main stage improv and sketch teams. She has also been seen nationally in commercials, along with television and film.

She’s a graduate of CAP21 Conservatory and has studied improv and acting at iO West and HB Studio. She was awarded a scholarship to Manhattan School of Music’s Summer Voice Festival and has studied with teachers Ann Dowd, Alex Gemignani, David Hibbard, Larry Arancio, and many others.

Sylvia is thrilled to join the TYC faculty and help young dancers build their confidence as actors, whether they’re performing dance, music, or text.
