Congratulations to the Bronx Tigers Athletes
Congratulations to the Bronx Tigers athletes who competed at the 2026 AAU Junior Olympic Championships, held at Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa. Their hard work, dedication, and strong performances represented the Bronx Tigers program with pride.
Athlete Highlights
• Anton Foster Jr. ran personal bests in the 400m with a time of 1:12.92 and the 800m with a time of 2:47.04.
• Amiraa Kennie achieved a personal best in the shot put with a mark of 9.47m.
• Devin Washington competed in the 100m.
• Tykaja Geen competed in the shot put and achieved a personal best in the javelin with a mark of 17.45m.

Anton Foster Jr. The boys aged 8 and under earned a spot in the 400m final by achieving the third-fastest time of 1:15.17 but were subsequently disqualified. In the 800m, he finished fourth, achieving a personal best of 2:57.07. Aiden Gardan (11-12 boys) ran his fastest 1600m at 7:09.19.

The Bronx Tigers took part in the 2026 PVA 14 & Under National Indoor Invitational in Maryland. Chelsea Clarke set a new personal record in the 60m dash (8 & under girls) with a time of 11.23 seconds. In the 9-10 girls division, Demi Spence also achieved her fastest 60m dash at 10.30 seconds. Devin Washington reached his best time of 97.98 seconds in the 13-14 boys 60m dash. Aubree David, competing in the 9-10 girls group, posted personal records in both the 200m (33.77) and 800m (2:50.48), qualified for the 400m final—finishing tenth at 1:14.41—and earned second place in the 800m.
For the 8 & under boys, Anton Foster Jr. moved on to the 400m dash final with the third-best qualifying mark (1:15.17). He finished third in the final but was disqualified due to a lane infraction. Undeterred, he competed in the 800m run, taking fourth with his personal best time of 2:57.07. In addition, Aiden Gardan (11-12 boys) ran his fastest 1600 meters at 7:09.19.
