⚾️ Welcome home, Coach Iguess! 🧡🖤
Texas City High School is proud to welcome Tyler Iguess back home as the new head coach of the Stingaree baseball program.
A proud TCHS alumnus, Coach Iguess was a member of the last Stingaree baseball team to reach the UIL State Tournament. During his playing career, he earned First Team All-Greater Houston and All-District honors before continuing his success at Galveston College, where he was named to the conference all-star team.
Coach Iguess began his coaching career at C.E. King High School, helping transform the program into a district contender. In 2019, he became head coach at South Houston High School, where he rebuilt a struggling program into a respected competitor.
Now, one of our own is returning to lead the next generation of Stingarees.
Please join us in welcoming Coach Iguess home and wishing him and the Stingaree baseball program the very best as they begin this exciting new chapter!

Good evening Stings families,
On behalf of the Texas City Stings Baseball Booster Club, we are excited to officially welcome our new Varsity Head Baseball Coach to the Stings family!
Born and raised in Texas City, Coach Tyler Iguess started his baseball career at Godard Park from the age of 4, through Pony C**t, and eventually, at Robinson Stadium. A 4 year starter in centerfield for the Texas City HS baseball team, he understands the pride, tradition and passion the program brings to Texas City. During the 4 years, the program won District Champions two times and three deep playoff runs, including the State Tournament. After high school, Coach Iguess attended Galveston College, where he was named as an All-Star Game participant and helped the Whitecaps reach a ranking as high as #10 in the country. After a short stint at Concordia University, he decided to focus on his school and begin his coaching career as the Fall and Summer coach for Texas City HS. Coach Iguess began his coaching career at Santa Fe HS and has made stops at Houston C.E King and South Houston HS, where he has spent the last 7 years as Head Coach of the Trojans. He has also served as a coach for the fall and summer program of PBA for the last 8 years. Coach Iguess joins TCISD with his fiance, Kimbra, his son, Greyson and his daughter Madilynn.
“Returning home to Texas City is a dream I’ve had since graduating from Texas City HS. I am very excited and ready to get to work to help this program, school and community get back to being the powerhouse it should be. We will bring Energy, give maximum Effort and Execute in a team first way to gain Excellence!”
