Registration is open for our year round swim team in Texas City. $55 a month includes practice up to 4x a week. You can choose what days to swim.

Well, we are into the second week of October, and I wanted to let you know what is happening. I wish I had better news, but here is the latest from coach regarding TCAP and the pool:

We have some training for staff next Saturday and that should give us an idea of how much longer we should be. At this point it’s just committees and bureaucratic nonsense.

Here is the latest from Coach Masi:

We are in a holding pattern while the city finishes their end of setup and some scheduling issues. We are hoping for mid-October to start up again.

Here is the latest from Coach Masi: Pool should open within the next month or so, no exact date unfortunately. The big work is finished, lots of small projects that are being wrapped up and finalized.

There won’t be a Makos summer team, summer swim is still shifted to the Dickinson Gators.

TCAP will be back in one fashion or another, possibly not a USA team, but TAAF instead.

Good morning and happy 2024!! Here is the latest from coach:

I have some good news finally. The HVAC system is installed and running. I will know if it passes all of its testing sometime this week. If that goes well, the city will start wrapping up the inside projects like the sound panels and lighting. They still need to get the beams and structural steel recoated and the tile on the starting bulkhead replaced but that won’t take too long. All in all, we are getting close, only a few weeks away from having access back for swimming.

It’s popcorn time!!! Shipped direct to you, this is some darn yummy popcorn! Plus it helps my athletes have a good time in swim since it’s so expensive. (I’ll also just take your money in donations also, lol)
