Parents ask us all the time: “What if my athlete is a late bloomer?”

It’s tough watching physical early-bloomers get recruited first, but physical growth is out of your control—skills aren't.

Here is what late bloomers should focus on:
💪 Master fundamentals: When physical growth catches up, skill sets take off.
📱 Keep coaches updated: Share new video, measurements, and progress regularly.
🤔 Stay open-minded: Keep all recruiting levels on the table.

Congratulations to 2027 RHP/OF Jaron Reed out of Sandra Day O’Connor on his recent commitment to University of Redlands in CA. Jaron is a pitcher with plus command on the mound and a true competitor. At the plate, Jaron is a switch hitter with a great plan and developing power. He is going to have a chance to 2-way for the Bulldogs and compete for time early. We are excited for Jaron and the entire Reed family. Cannot wait to watch you compete at the next level.

Congratulations to 2027 Sequoyah HS 1B Cason Gantt on his commitment to Chattahoochee Valley Community College!
An All-Region performer and two-sport standout, Cason brings the type of athleticism and offensive presence that can change a game. The left-handed hitter has established himself as a middle-of-the-order bat, combining a mature approach with the ability to drive the baseball and hit for power.

Playing college baseball is a reality if you keep developing.

There’s attrition at every turn. Players get distracted. They stop developing. They make poor decisions. They lose focus on academics. They let social media, the depth chart, playing time, or other outside noise become bigger than the reason they started.

The goal isn’t just to get recruited.

The goal is to play 4–5 years of college baseball, earn your degree, build relationships, compete, and have a great experience.

📝 About the Program

Regis baseball competes in one of the stronger Division II leagues in the West, the RMAC. The Rangers have shown the ability to compete at a high level in recent years, including a program-record 35 wins in 2025 and an NCAA Tournament appearance in 2024. The 2026 season was more difficult, with Regis finishing 19–32–1, but the Rangers still qualified for the RMAC Tournament.

There is also a new chapter beginning in Denver. Matt Lautz was promoted to head coach in July 2026 after serving on the Regis staff since 2021, including time as pitching coach and recruiting coordinator.
