I wrote this while I was still in corporate, before I ever imagined starting a coaching business.
Long before I called myself a coach, I was already trying to understand the problem I now help other people navigate.
Today, I help six- and seven-figure small business owners make sense of the business, the life around it, and the decisions that connect the two.

š Why does the same problem keep happening in your business and gets on your last nerve?
Often, the problem you keep fixing is only the symptom. The real issue may be a pattern in how decisions are made, how people communicate, or how the work gets done.
Football gives us a good example.
A player is focused on the next play. The coach is watching the whole field. When the same play keeps breaking down, the coach can step back, study the Xās and Oās, and see what needs to change.
Business can work the same way.
When you are in the middle of running your business every day, it can be hard to see the pattern behind a recurring problem.
That is where Together Forward Business Coaching can help. We help business owners step back, see what keeps happening, and make better decisions about what to change next.
Have you noticed the same problem showing up more than once in your business?

A business can be profitable and still run short on cash.
That usually feels confusing because the P&L says one thing, while the bank account says something else.
It's because profit and cash aren't the same thing.
A profitable business can still feel cash-strapped because of things like:
⢠Customers who haven't paid yet
⢠Loan payments
⢠Large equipment or inventory purchases
⢠Owner draws or distributions
⢠Tax payments
⢠Payroll timing
⢠Growth that requires cash before the revenue comes in
Your P&L tells you whether the business is making money.
It doesn't tell you exactly when cash will come in or when it'll leave.
That's where a cash flow forecast becomes useful.
A 13-week cash flow forecast helps you see what cash you expect to receive, what bills and obligations are coming, and where you may run short before it happens.
It gives you a better answer to questions like:
Can I afford to hire someone?
Can I make this purchase?
Do I have enough cash for taxes?
Why does the business keep feeling tight even though we're profitable?
At Together Forward, I help service business owners understand their financials and build practical cash flow forecasts so they can make business decisions based on what the numbers are actually telling them.
Financial confidence comes from understanding your numbers well enough to make the next decision.

When I help a business get unstuck, I donāt start with goals or plans.
I start by identifying the growth roadblock.
Because a business can only move forward as fast as its slowest point.
Iāve put together a simple one-page tool called The Roadblock Focuser to help you do exactly that.
Hereās how it works:
You mark each area of your business Red / Yellow / Green
š“ Red = roadblock
š” Yellow = unstable
š¢ Green = on track
The first red you encounter is your focus clue.
If multiple areas are red, start with the first one you come to.
You donāt need to fix everything.
You just need to identify the first roadblock.
DM (Roadblock) for the Roadblock Focuser.

Have you ever stopped to ask yourself...
If you couldn't work tomorrow because of an unexpected illness or injury, what would happen to your business? What would happen to your family?
This isn't something any of us like to think about. I know I didn't until my husband was injured. That experience made me think differently about how quickly things can change and how important it is to have a plan in place.
Would your bills still get paid?
Would your clients still be taken care of?
Would your family have enough income while you recovered?
These are questions most business owners don't ask until they're forced to.
Having a plan in place isn't about expecting the worst. It's about protecting everything you've worked so hard to build and the people who depend on you.
Have you thought about what your backup plan would be if you couldn't work for 30 days?
