Always a good idea to wear PFD and have a throwable device if you’re with a group. Also a tow rope and basic gear, first aid etc. here in Florida I also recommend keeping a pack or 2 of emergency water. National wear your life jacket to work day! National Boating Safety Week

Florida has a Greek village hiding right on the Gulf Coast, and most people have no idea it exists. 🌊 Tarpon Springs was once the sponge-diving capital of the entire world, built by Greek immigrants who arrived in the early 1900s and transformed a small Florida town into a thriving maritime community that still celebrates its heritage today. Walk the docks and you'll find hand-harvested sea sponges piled high on wooden boats, the smell of salt air mixing with the aroma of fresh baklava from the bakeries just steps away. 🫒 The Greek Orthodox Cathedral of Saint Nicholas, the annual Epiphany celebration, and the family-run restaurants serving authentic Greek cuisine make this one of the most culturally rich corners of the entire Sunshine State. This is the Florida that doesn't make the tourist brochures, and that's exactly what makes it unforgettable. 🌴 Save this post and add Tarpon Springs to your Florida bucket list — then tag someone who needs to make the trip with you 👇
