Had a very successful cleanup on Sunday with 289lbs of debris no longer around Julian B Lane Park! Scooters, tire rims, skateboards, plastic food and beverage wrappers, and more are no longer near downtown Tampa!

Cleanups are a great way to spend a few hours helping clean up your community City of Tampa , while also getting a free dive in! We need kayakers, shore, and divers for these events.
‼️PLEASE HELP‼️ We need small onion or potato sacks to reuse for divers. If you have access to these, please don't throw them away!
Our next one will be in the Hillsborough River in September. You must be Advanced and Nitrox.

🦞 MINI SEASON 2026 ACCOMPLISHED! 🦞
What a two days out with Ocean's Eight Charters! 🌊
✅ Alex led a group of awesome divers to the East Coast for Mini Lobster Season!
✅ Gathered up some bugs before commercial season opens
✅ Teamed up with an awesome Family-owned operation,
✅ Celebrated our own watching her blossom into a full-blown Florida East Coast Divemaster after diving alongside her for years 🎓🤿
For anyone new to it: Mini-Sport Season is your once-a-year shot as a regular diver to grab lobster before commercial season opens. Just two days (last Wednesday and Thursday of July) of pure bug-hunting chaos, and we loved every second. 🦞💨
📋 Quick refresher for Regular Season:
✅ Valid saltwater fishing license + lobster permit
✅ 3" minimum carapace length, measured in the water
✅ Bag limit: 6/person in Monroe County & Biscayne National Park, 12/person everywhere else
Regular Season runs August 6, 2026 – March 31, 2027 🗓️
