🔥 JESUIT STARTS THE SEASON WITH A STATEMENT
Jesuit dominated SFA 37-0 Friday night, and the box score shows just how complete the Tigers were. 🐯🏈 Jesuit racked up 329 total yards, including 225 passing and 79 rushing, while scoring four passing touchdowns. Freshman QB J. Griffin was outstanding in his debut, completing 14-of-23 passes for 225 yards and 4 TDs with a 133.2 QB rating. Senior W. Telegdi was the big-play weapon, hauling in 4 catches for 135 yards and 2 TDs, averaging an eye-popping 33.8 yards per reception. T. Smith added 3 catches for 29 yards and a TD, while K. Heggedal also found the end zone.
The Tigers were just as active defensively, recording 63 total tackles, 8 tackles for loss and 2 sacks. T. Keller led the way with 7 tackles and 3 TFLs, while K. Henderson added 6 tackles, 2 TFLs and a sack. C. Haywood chipped in 9 tackles and a TFL, and B. Battaglia recorded a sack.
A 37-0 shutout, four passing TDs from a freshman QB and explosive plays all over the field. Jesuit came out of the gate looking like a team ready to make some noise. 👀🔥
