My beautiful mama-to-be working through a glute burner today 🔥
Starting with hip circle glute bridges off the bench, straight into single leg bridges with the foot elevated on a wall ball, finishing with hip circle crab walks 🦀🍑
As pregnancy progresses, regular heavy barbell hip thrusts/bridges can become uncomfortable due to pressure through the pelvis, core, lower back, positioning and the changing demands on the body. That doesn’t mean we stop training glutes — we simply adapt 👏
This combo is still SO effective because we’re:
✨ Keeping constant tension on the glutes
✨ Improving pelvic stability
✨ Strengthening glute medius for hip support
✨ Challenging balance and coordination safely
✨ Supporting posture as the belly grows
✨ Building strength that carries over into daily life, labour & postpartum recovery
The hip circle keeps those glutes firing the entire time, while the single leg work helps address stability and strength side to side. Then those crab walks finish everything off with that spicy glute burn we love 🌶️🍑

Life gets busy — travel, family stuff, work, chaos, all of it. You’re not always going to have the “perfect” routine, but doing something is always better than doing nothing. Don’t forget about YOU in the middle of taking care of everyone else 🤍
