This little kid is now teenager, playing for a junior team . It’s been a long time since this photo has been taken but I think it’s describes without saying it exactly how I feel about coaching kids.
It is about connection, human , individual connection. Just like technically in skating we’re so different from each other battling and working on different problems , We also different human beings with different interests and different lives circumstances.
I have a privilege to be able to get to know my kids and their parents.
I love knowing how the school is, if they try something different, if they’re good at other sports…. I tried to understand how the parents feel.. sometimes parents are they overwhelmed and tired, sometimes frustrated, sometimes they are confused about what is the best for their child . Life is hard but life also full of joy , part of me, trying to spread the joy and smiles.
This couple of weeks been hard .
This time of the year, one by one,  some kids are going up north to the academies, junior teams, AAA teams. Some of these kids leaving for the first time away from the home . As coaches we are not parents, but we do really worry about the kids, we truly want the best for them. Keeping in touch , making sure to remind them of things they work so hard on doing the lessons while hoping they will adjust well to the new lives and new teams far away from home.❤️❤️❤️

This is always so sweet to see a new generation , my little ones , meeting somebody whose achieved the goal they have❤️ thank you Ryan so much for being an inspiration for the little guys❤️

I am a little late on posting a few pictures from our 22+ camp. We had a pleasure to do this summer.. thank you All who attended it was a lot of fun
