Snapple strutting her stuff 💃🐴 I seriously LOVE this mare.

Annie’s lope is definitely not what you’d call “finished” 😂 Some days it feels like the goal is simply to stay on — short back + quick stride = hang on, sister. 🤣

Snap is just further along right now, and she actually gives me the chance to work on myself instead of riding in survival mode. I’m working on better leg position, letting go, softer hands, and trusting her more with every ride.

The more I trust her, the more I can relax and work on me instead of just trying to survive. 😂❤️

Last night’s lessons were GOOD 🙌🐴

These two are absolutely crushing the canter! We worked through obstacles, focused on picking up the correct leads, and saw SO much improvement from both horse and rider.

And when those correct leads finally happened… I’m pretty sure the whole street knew about it. 😂👏 There may have been a little yelling involved.

Those are the moments that make teaching so much fun. So proud of the progress happening over here! 🐴🤍

Wednesday lessons at Johnson Farms 🐴🤍

There’s just something about spending the middle of the week in the saddle. A full Wednesday of horses, lessons, learning, and putting in the work at Johnson Farms. I love watching each horse and rider make progress, whether it’s a big breakthrough or just one small piece finally clicking.

Lesson with Sydney & Goose tonight — working on overcoming the canter as a rider and reminding Goose that he is, in fact, not the boss. 😂 Poor chunky boy! But seriously, AMAZING ride. So proud of them both! ❤️🐴

Then Sydney left the farm… made a U-turn… and came right back. 😂 I already had both horses saddled and was planning to pony one, ride the other, and swap off. Instead, she joined me for round two and took Snapple around for some exercise while I rode AB.

Not a bad way to end the day. 🐴❤️

The love I have for this horse and his momma runs deep. Getting to be part of their journey not only through lessons, but also through training rides with this incredible guy is something I never take for granted. Watching him grow in confidence and then seeing his mom enjoy the progress we’ve built together is one of the most rewarding parts of my job.
