Yesterday, our President, Samantha A.M. Beeler, and our Manager of Federal Advocacy, Ibby Dickson, were on Capitol Hill, where they met with Members of Congress and joined America's Credit Unions for the House Financial Services Committee hearing with Acting Director of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB), Russ Vought.

As conversations continue around the future of the CFPB and the federal regulatory landscape, The League remains committed to ensuring the credit union perspective is represented and that policymakers understand the unique role credit unions play in serving their members and communities.

We appreciate the opportunity to engage in these important conversations and will continue working with federal policymakers to advance the priorities of the credit union movement.

On Monday, Oswald Hernandez, our Senior Manager of Regulatory Advocacy, attended the National Association of State Credit Union Supervisors (NASCUS)'s 2026 Florida Executive Forum.

The event provided an opportunity to hear directly from the Florida Office of Financial Regulation (OFR) on the regulatory landscape and outlook for Florida credit unions, offering valuable insights into the issues shaping the industry.
