on like NCAA and NAIA teams in the southeast. It was the insight of one man with a dream who shared his intentions with five students all striving to help others while bettering themselves in the process. The thought was to enlighten peers with the same dreams and fields of profession while aiding and mentoring children. While helping others in the community, there will also be an account set up to aide in the financial support of its active members who deserve with an eligible GPA and/or hardship cases. All students especially those showing excellence in their abilities to learn and perform in the competitive world of collegiate wrestling while giving a helping hand to the community, will be offered membership into the FAMU Wrestling Team. On the mat, the Rattlers have grown into a force within the highly competitive Southeast Conference of the NCWA. The Rattlers have in recent years crown a NCWA National Champion 2017 Rickey Carter 285 lb weight class.
