Breakneck Track Club

Breakneck was busy this past weekend for some Memorial Day racing. Jason Muermann dropped a casual 4:29 mile on the roads at the Memorial Main Street mile. Coach Jeff Bash says there’s still more in the tank for young JB.

Brian Quilty and Mike Rivera continued their streak with another round of the Spring Lake 5 miler. Brian snuck under 26 and Mike snuck under 28. The summer is now officially allowed to begin.

Last but certainly not least, Nick Nocco made it look easy to win the Medford Lakes colony Memorial Day 5k. His mustache was not going to be denied. 🌊

These men cemented Breakneck’s status as the 16th best running club in the country last weekend at USATF XC Club Nationals (Something we’ve known for a while but now is 100% proven). Projections from the Breakneck Strategic Planning meeting say we’ll be in the top 10 by the end of 2026, watch out. 👀 🌊

Breakneck Track Club celebrated its 30th anniversary by traveling down to Tallahassee last weekend to compete at USATF XC Club Nationals and watch the World XC Championships. The men finished 16th overall, their best finished ever! The women’s team competed hard with 3 finishers, with a full team in the works for next year. Next time, we demand more obstacles. 🌊
