JULY Athlete of the Month
With great excitement and enthusiasm, we are proud to announce that this month’s Athlete of the Month is Allison Jennings!
From the moment Allison joined our community, she made an immediate commitment to her goals. Her discipline, consistency, and determination have been exceptional from the very beginning, and it has been incredible to watch her progress week after week.
Allison continues to hit and surpass her limits through hard work, perseverance, and a positive attitude. She is a true example that consistent effort produces real results, and her dedication inspires everyone around her.

What initially motivated you to join the gym?*
I took a free class and loved the community and the style of workout
What has been the most rewarding part of your fitness journey so far?*
Showing up for myself every day even when I don’t want to and being the healthiest version of myself
What role has the gym members or coaches played in your progress?*
Everyone at the gym was so welcoming and encouraging , the coaches push me when i need it and make sure I know the correct form to get the most out of my workouts
Looking back, what advice would you give to someone just starting their fitness journey?*
Take it one day at a time and try to have fun!
Is there anything else you’d like to share about your experience at the gym?*
ULA makes me excited to workout every morning

What initially motivated you to join the gym?*
When my CrossFit gym closed, I wasn’t just looking for another gym—I was looking for a new home. I wanted a place where I could continue challenging myself, whether that meant improving my lifts, chasing new strength goals, or getting in a tough HIIT workout. I didn’t find that until I came to Urban. From day one, it felt like the right fit, and I’ve found exactly the kind of community and training environment I was missing. The sense of community and accountability has made all the difference in helping me stay motivated and continue growing.
What has been the most rewarding part of your fitness journey so far?*
Knowing that I can still move well, lift heavy, and keep up with some of the younger folks is incredibly rewarding. I’m naturally competitive, and most of that competition is with myself. I always want to see if I can lift a little more, move a little faster, or improve on what I did yesterday.
