Land of Legends Recap

We left the track tonight feeling hopeful, happy, and really proud of this team!

Trev started 2nd in his heat and immediately got out front, taking the heat win!

For the feature, he rolled off 2nd and got the lead for a few laps before settling into 2nd. He was right there battling and running with some of the top names, and it was AWESOME to watch!

Around lap 17, a caution came out and unfortunately there just wasn’t much left on that right rear after the restart. He fell back pretty quickly and ultimately finished 10th.

Oh yeah, and we had the fastest lap time of the feature which was cool to see!

But honestly, tonight feels like a HUGE win for this team and hopefully a confidence booster for Trev. Trev was right up there racing with some of the best. That’s something to be HAPPY about!

Now we turn the car around and get ready for Race #3 of the Dirtcar Sportsman Championship Series at Ransomville on Tuesday!

Championship Series Night 2 at Utica Rome - DNQ.

So Trev made the feature at Weedsport on Sunday, but unfortunately lost his brakes during the race. Since then, Tracy and Trev have been busting their butts changing parts and trying to figure this thing out. They thought they had it fixed, only to find out after hot laps at Land of Legends tonight that the brakes still aren’t working. 😩

It’s been a tough few days, especially with the team not all together because of other commitments. It seems like every time we feel like we’re getting things figured out, another hurdle gets thrown at us.

Tomorrow is one of the Championship Series races at Utica-Rome. Hopefully having everyone back together will help get spirits back up and, hopefully, Trev and Tracy can finally figure out these brakes. If anyone has any brake expertise or ideas, we would definitely appreciate the help.

For tonight, Trev is going out for green money and staying safe. 🏁

It’s hard not to get discouraged, but we aren’t giving up. ❤️ Please send some good vibes our way—we definitely need them!

Busy week ahead as T-Rev follows SummerFast for a few races, we have our 2nd Dirtcar Championship Series Race and then weekly racing at LOL.

Unfortunately we are rained out today!!! 😔☔️

🌧️ TONIGHT’S RACING HAS BEEN CANCELED — LAND OF LEGENDS RACEWAY 🌧️

Unfortunately, Mother Nature has won this one.

A torrential downpour late this morning dropped a tremendous amount of rain in a very short period of time, causing havoc on the racetrack and throughout the facility.

At this point, we would need plenty of sunshine and a lot of wind to have any chance of getting everything dried out and ready for tonight. While the weather predictions continue to be all over the place, another wave of rain appears likely between 1:00 and 3:00 PM.

Our grounds, pit area, and spectator parking simply cannot take on any more water. With that in mind, we are forced to cancel tonight’s racing program at Land of Legends Raceway.

We are extremely disappointed. We wanted to race just as badly as everyone wanted to be here, but the amount of water we received has left us with no other option.

The Empire Street Stock Series will now take place as part of the Top Gun Shootout event on Friday September 18th. Also rescheduled will be the Scoppo Special for Saturday August 29th.
