Allison is a writer, speaker, and journaling expert from Columbia — but more than that, she's a mom who understands. Her own journey began when she learned her firstborn son has a rare genetic disorder, and since then she's poured her life into helping women find God's presence and hope in life's hardest seasons.
We can't wait for her to speak straight to the hearts of the moms in our community on Thursday, October 22, 6–9 PM at Broad Acres Baptist Church.

🌿 SPEAKER SPOTLIGHT: TAYLOR & KELLY ABSTON 🌿

We are so excited to introduce Taylor Abston and her mom, Kelly, who will be sharing their testimony at Refreshed & Renewed – The Moms Conference on October 22.

💗 Meet Taylor

Taylor has a beautiful love for Jesus, fashion, and photography. Her faith is an important part of who she is, and she has a joy that is evident to those around her.

Taylor’s story is also part of a bigger story—one that her mom, Kelly, has walked alongside her.

Together, Taylor and Kelly will share their testimony from both a daughter’s and a mother’s perspective—the joys, the challenges, the prayers, and the ways they have seen God at work throughout their journey.

This is exactly why we created Refreshed & Renewed. We want moms raising a child with a disability to come together, worship, be encouraged, hear real stories from other families, and be reminded of the incredible value God has placed on every single life.

Some of you may already know Brandon Abbott, President and Interim Executive Director of Shiloh Communities, was recently injured in a burn accident — sustaining second-degree burns to his right arm and both legs. He spent time this week at the Augusta burn clinic and has a long road of recovery ahead. We're grateful it wasn't worse, and we covet your prayers for his healing. 🙏 He has a long recovery ahead of him. The nights have been long and the days are painful for him.

This does not delay the opening of Shiloh Trading Co. — but Brandon's recovery means we need extra hands to finish the build-out and pre-opening work. We're at $32,000 of our $350,000 goal to open and sustain the store for the long run.

An update on An Evening on Charitable Giving

We have to share some disappointing news: due to a staffing change on Charles Schwab's side, we are cancelling An Evening on Charitable Giving, originally planned for September 15th. This was out of our control and not a reflection of anything on our end.
